Kezia Dugdale, who writes at Kezia Dugdale’s soapbox, has removed an article concerning SNP Councillor Jahangir Asif after a legal threat.
From Alwyn at Huw at the Miserable Old Fart blog:
On Saturday I mentioned the fact that an SNP councillor and millionaire had threatened the blogger Kezia Duggdale with legal action.
I don’t particularly like Kezia’s blog - she supports the Labour party - I don’t. She says nasty things about Alex Salmond, one of my political heroes, but I respect and defend her freedom of opinion!
Last year there was a blog consensus that the blogosphere would stand up to rich people trying to bully individual bloggers when Asmanov went after Bloggerheads, where is that blog support for Kez?
I’m afraid this story is quite involved, and has quite a lot of nuances in it. I’ll run through events and add some reflections.
The SNP has pulled off a sensational by-election victory.
Someone is going to be absolutely insufferable.

Oh ‘Eck.
I’m going to wrap my head in a wet towel as a preemptive defence against headache I’m going to get listening to the waves of smugness emanating from the Radio tomorrow morning.
This is massively in advance (or not), but these things usually work like snails. Now that the Wardman Wire has a decent front-page video showcase, I’m looking at the possibility of publishing Party Conference Video (and text) Blogs this autumn. I’ve not been a conference habituĂ©, so if anyone has any useful hints, tips or offers to participate I’d be interested to hear them.
