Paying the Price for Catching Crabs: Quote of the Day

From Noodle Pie via Twitter:

Watching crabs wriggling their last in boiling water. I know I’ll have to pay for this in another life. But they do taste good.

Hair Bear Punch: Quote of the Day

Statements that would not be heard in Great Britain:

Word-association bingo - Commentariat: Editorial Alternative

q-quote-icon-128A thought that occurred while listening to a programme this morning about longhand letters sent by a member of Scott’s polar expedition of 1912.

Quote of the Day - Do not Volunteer to Design a Logo

q-quote-icon-128If you’re given the task of finding a logo for an organization, your first task should be to try to get someone else to do it. If you fail at that, find an abstract image that is clean and simple and carries very little meaning–until your brand adds that meaning. It’s not a popularity contest. Or a job for a committee. It’s not something where you should run it by a focus group. It’s just a placeholder, a label waiting to earn some meaning.

Quote of the Day - Blog Content, not Candy (but candy helps)

“Design can get attention, but only content will keep it”

(Like Politics Really)

Overheard from Orla Guerin: Quote of the Day

This was a quote I heard on the Radio from Orla Guerin on the South Africa - Zimbabwe border:
