One Response to “Raw video from today’s Tehran rally”

  1. Thank you for this important material from Iran. If ever an argument were needed for the internet, blogs and twitter, The Wardman Wire’s posts about Iran make it. Andrew Keen: repent!

Putting together what I’ve heard from the BBC’s reporters and these videos, it looks to me as though this is a massive popular movement – Iran has roughly the same population as the UK, and if these scenes were happening in London, even Gordon Brown might be shaken. These videos back the BBC’s John Leyne’s characterisation of what’s going on as a “political earthquake”. No wonder the “Supreme Leader” has had retreated, saying the election will be considered.

This is one of the most crucial events in recent history. Azadi Square is Tiananmen.
