Mike Semple-Pigott, who edits the Charon QC blog and the InsiteLaw Magazine, will be contributing podcasts to the site. Mike has done a lot of podcasts, and also makes them professionally from time to time for different organisations, which have included the Law Society.
He covers mainly legal subjects, but has been moving into the Civil Liberties area, and is now dipping a toe into politics.
Here is a first – trial – podcast where Charon QC has done a 20-minute interview with Tom Harris MP.

I’ll post this podcast as a separate file if it all works. The conversation included the intriguing idea of Tom Harris replacing Michael Portillo on the “Daily Politics” micro-sofa. If it happened, I’d vote for Ann Widdicombe to replace Diane Abbott.
For the Wardman Wire, this supports our aim of being a “Junction Box” site in breaking down the walls between niches in the blogosphere, while doing our (small) bit to give a wider audience to political debate.
There is also a slight advantage in having legal posts done by real lawyers, which means that it is a bit more difficult to make the “Bah ! Cynically nihilistic political bloggers” canard stick.
We’ll be putting in a podcast feed, and changing our design to make all podcasts easy to find.
