These are series of articles on a common subject by different commentators. Each series of articles is published on
the Wardman Wire, and also as a PDF download – as a experiment in making blog-debate available more in a more convenient form for later readers. The PDF includes live links back to all the reference sources and also to the debate threads.

It fits somewhere between the informal analysis on blogs and the more formal research think tanks do, and is also an attempt to bridge the gap in the policy research process between blogs and more formal presentations, such as think tanks.

Facts and Figures

We did our first trial of the “series of articles from a range of viewpoints on a common subject” format back in February 2008 with a series about Expenses for MPs called “House Rules for Parliament“.

1. The traffic figures for these articles since then are around 10,000 page views.
2. Our traffic has increased several times over since then - our “reach” (”footprint”) is up more than 500% year on year.
3. These figures exclude PDF downloads and RSS Feeds.

Our Offer

We offer:

1. Co-branding of the articles and PDF within the series.
2. A logo displayed in each article at the top, and an acknowledgement.
3. A logo on the front page of the PDF download and a description of your organisation and services.
4. We can also include advertising on the website at a reduced rate.
5. Your logo appears in the Excerpt for each article, which means that it also appears in our site RSS feeds.
6. The article sponsorships are permanent.

Notes

1. 20% of any sponsorship income will go to the authors and editor of the symposium.
2. All links on the site carry a Nofollow attribute, in accordance with Google’s Terms and Conditions for sponsored links. This means that your site will gain visibility from the link, but it will not help your search ranking in Google.
3. As you would expect, we do not offer any editorial control.
