Politics Home Traffic, and US Election Special

A few days ago I noted that Politics Home have had a large bulge of traffic from North America.

Most of it comes from referrals due to running an information service in the sidebar of the Pollster.com website, which is also owned by Yougov.

It’s actually a pretty good strategy for using the work of Politics Home, and makes me think that Stephan Shakespeare has found a service which is more beneficial to the core business than was the case with 18 Doughty Street.

Here is a screenshot of the sidebar from Pollster.com:

They could use it as a very, very, very, very, very BIG sidebar widget for other sites - which could be a fantastic promotional method.

I’ll return to the topic of Politics Home for some more serious commentary on the site’s progress after 6 months soon.

(Incidentally, I have now added the Daily Newspaper front pages to the menu bar, although it is still a little too slow due to the current “weight” of the Magazine Front Page of the Wardman Wire).
