Sensational SNP Victory in Glasgow East By Election

The SNP has pulled off a sensational by-election victory.

Someone is going to be absolutely insufferable.

Oh ‘Eck.

Here’s the audio of the announcement, speeches, and some of commentary (including - you have been warned - a bit of Shane Greer). 12 minutes, but you get the announcement in the first two:

Votes for the key parties:

John Mason, SNP, 11,277 (43.1%)
Labour, 10,912 (41.7%)
Conservatives, 1,639 (6.3%)
Liberal Democrats, 915 (3.5%)
SNP majority: 365, Turnout: 42.25%
Swing: 22.54% Labour to SNP

Let’s give the SNP it’s due - a famous victory after an outstanding campaign.

Now I’m going to wrap my head in a wet towel as a preemptive defence against headache I’m going to get listening to the waves of smugness emanating from the Radio tomorrow morning.

  2. I’m keeping quiet for the moment ;-)

But support on this would be appreciated.
