This is weird. Why would Youtube bring up “Soccerette with no knickers” as the first “related video” for “Robin Powell reports on a message from the Bishop of Lichfield”?

Here’s the Message from the Bishop (screenshot below - click to see), complete with the “related” soccerette.

I would interpret “Actress with no knickers” - in connection with a bishop - as “English developer on the Youtube team having some fun on a boring Friday afternoon”, but this …

I picked up on this when having a dig into the usual flocks of canards flying around the comments columns about the “unthinking” Bishop of Stafford and his “empty” church (turns out that he’s a member of the Modern Churchpeople’s Union and the Diocese of Lichfield is growing at the moment - and they need new Ministers as per the video).

Ooops, especially when much of the quacking in the newspaper comments boxes comes from people claiming to value the concept of evidence.

The “Soccerette with no knickers” has had 242,371 viewings on Youtube, while the report about the extra priests needed for the Diocese of Lichfield has had 760.

Make of those numbers what you will.
