Accessibility / Usability of the Wardman Wire Magazine Website
Later this evening I will be making some changes to the design of the Magazine to give a choice of “looks to the site”.
I’m planning to set up one with the “video slideshow”, one with “tabbed video”, at least one much more straightforward theme to give a version of the site that is more simply arranged and designed to be easy to use - but also easier to track, and possibly a “high contrast” theme.
I’ve installed the Theme Switcher Wordpress Plugin (which is often used on demonstration sites to show off several templates). There is a drop down list of themes that are available.
For the next couple of hours I have left the full set of standard Wordpress 2.5 templates in place. If you would like to have a look at the effect of the Options category-based theme makes, then you can make a comparison with some more “traditional” templates.
One warning: some of these themes do not display the drop down list, so to return to the normal version of the site, you will need reset the cookie that is used by the plugin to identify the current theme in use.
