Steve Jobs the Robber Baron runs a Puppet Show, Maybe: Triple Trouble

A rather complacent comment from a member of the piccolo (8% market share) army of smug Mac users:

Easy peasy. Now, be a good kid and go buy a Mac!

reminded me that I had a Steve Jobs edition of “Double Trouble” in the cupboard waiting to be rolled out.

Every time I see a picture of Steve Jobs being cool I think of Yoffy, who used to run a BBC TV Children’s Programme called “Fingerbobs“:

Incidentally, I also think of the Sheriff of Nottingham from the latest postmodern version of Robin Hood. That would be the one where Frodo Baggins Robin says to his Merry Men Socially Unacceptable Inebriated Persons of Questionable Legality who Make Their Living by Alternative Means: “If we do this, we will do it as a Team”.

By the way, this is Fingermouse (with Scampi):

Wrapping-Up Probably Not Wrapping Up

Cue a wave of outrage from Apple fans.

Ooops.

  1. Actually I’m more a Windows-loather, than an Apple-fan. I run Ubuntu on my desktop. And I plumped for a Nokia N95 8GB over an iPhone.

I am going to get me one of those supercharged new MacBook Pros, though. Hubba, hubba.

    ;)

  2. Sometimes it’s an honour to be in a minority. I was a Windows user for decades and **nothing** in recent years has improved my life more than moving to Mac. Steve’s a smug *******, I will give you that, but he has a fair amount to be smug about. And Bill Gates’ non-coolness is not, I suspect, a matter of personal choice.

  3. Fair cop!

And Steve J is not supporting our services by paying the EU billions (I think it’s now into the 2nd billion) of Euros….

    Matt
