Helen Goodman MP and a Porky Pie in Parliament
Political liars are turning into a bit of a theme this afternoon.
First we had Mr Blair in the White House video, now we have Helen Goodman - the Deputy Leader of the House of Commons - caught bang to rights claiming on the floor of the House of Commons that this government doesn’t brief the media in advance of making statements in Parliament.
She’d be better off claiming that water is not wet.
Mr Gordon promised that this practice used under Mr Blair would be ended. Needless to say, that has not happened.
