December 9th - Shopping on Sunday: Wardman Wire Advent Calendar

We have a “Designer Retail Outlet” nearby, that was built (as these things often are) right on the boundary of one Local Authority’s territory without regard to the small shops existing in the next door authority’s close-by town centre. Such is local politics - the debatable in pursuit of the rateable.

This particular centre has at least 12 shops selling women’s purses and handbags, which means that if I buy one from each there is at least a one in ten chance that one will be suitable for the GF’s current requirement.

Since it’s a Sunday shopping day, here’s a map for navigating your local shops.

Incidentally, did you know that Tesco are the new Aldi.

And - at the time of writing - we are doing well in the Test Match.

  1. Great quote about local politics!

(& much politer than what I would say)

  2. I do about one a year !

  3. This happens about every month at my local Spar. It’s a major pain in the ass for the visually impared, I can tell you.
