New Westminster Political News Portal on the Way from Messagespace

Mike Rouse wrote a few days about his departure from 18 Doughty Street, as it goes into it’s chrysalis.

After what seems like a very long 15 months of service and dedication to 18 Doughty Street Talk TV I too am leaving, following a 3 month notice period. I’m going to be working on MessageSpace://Creative and in particular our WebCommons project.

The Webcommons project interests me. “Commons” refers to “House of Commons” not to Commons as in “Wikimedia Commons“.

It is an embyronic political news site, with potential for other services to be added.

If I were to put an interpretation on the business objective, I would describe it as “Messagespace parking its tanks on EPolitix’ Lawn”, creating a platform to compete with them in further areas.

I’d also see a move by Guido to expand his footprint beyond Westminster Blogging and Political Blog Advertising.
