The Day Job is a weekly column where a blogger explains what they do in the 8 hours a day when they are not blogging, eating or sleeping.

It is intended to be a relaxed read for a Monday lunchtime - an outpost of the weekend, if you will.

We aim to publish the first column on Monday 10 December.
