December 1st - Chocolate: Wardman Wire Advent Calendar

Today is the first day of Advent and the real preparation for the run up to Christmas, and so it’s time for the Advent Calendar.

20071201-comment-is-free-screenshot-wardman-wire-best-of-webI found a cartoon advent calenday by digging around in the archives at the Cartoon Blog - which is excellent.

While you are thinking about chocolates, and have not yet become annoyed that they are only virtual chocolates, let me add a couple of announcements.

Also, during Advent, David Keen who has just joined the team here will be posting an article each weekend - watch this space. The first is due this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon.

While I’m talking about David, congratulations to him on his first article making the Guardian Comment-is-Free “Best of the Web” section. That is more blogger strawberries.

That is (I think) only the second article on the Wardman Wire to have done that. It is interesting that when the article was first published on David’s own blog, they didn’t notice.

I have some reflections on PR, promotion and visibility for less well-known blogs that I hope to post tomorrow.

I’m only supposed to post “occasional” cartoons from the Cartoon Blog, so I’ve sent a suitably grovelling email in the hope that it won’t stop at about December 4th.
