What is William Hague’s Best Job at 60, and a Competition?
Gracchi commented on the Politics Decoded column:
Hague when he was leader seemed young in an obnoxious fashion- the 14 pint comment- and Ming old in a bad fashion but I’m sure like Cameron seems young but in a good way you can be old and a successful politician. Its much more about the way that you carry yourself and the charisma you project than your age.
Competition
We’ll have a competition this morning – no prizes, just satisfaction. Answer to the question:
What is the ideal job for William Hague when he is 60?
My suggestion is in the first comment.

Mayor of Heckmondwike.
Or somewhere properly proud of being Northern and larger.
They should revive the British wrestling from the 1970s and 80s and put Hague and Prescott in the ring – Prescott would be the latter day Giant Haystaks of course.
Sadly, due to his unique style of delivery and somewhat square-headed looks, I can never get over the idea that his perfect job would be sitting on someone’s knee in the role of a ventriloquist’s dummy
Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Party of Doom.
Garter king of arms!
Didn’t he get the Alf Newman role?
