Praise for Blogdesk - How I edit Posts Offline
I’ve now done something like 700 blog posts using an offline Blog Editor called Blogdesk by Johannes Oppermann. An offline editor means that I can do the posts on my PC, rather than use the editing facilities in Wordpress. I am very pleased with the software.

For me the killer features are these:
1 - The ability to post to multiple blogs at once. The Wardman Wire has both UK and International sites, and I sometimes crosspost elsewhere too.
2 - The ability to set up the system to do Technorati Tags direct from my PC desktop with Wordpress (this has involved careful choice of a Wordpress plugin).
3 - Ditto the insertion of video and audio files with Wordpress (this has involved careful choice of a Wordpress plugin).
4 - Sufficient basic image editing facilities for me.
5 - It is free.
6 - Decent support forums, in which the author does respond.
7 - Configuration was a doddle. You need to know your blog configuration settings, and what a few terms mean - but that is about it.
8 - A boilerplate text storage area.
9 - Simple WYSIWYTG editor.
I have had a few glitches and there are a couple of irritations but the system is generally very solid.
In the past I have played with a few other packages, but Blogdesk seems to do it for me well.
Recommended for you to try. It is available in German and Spanish too, and is compatible with most blog management systems.
