Two new Podcast Columns on the Wardman Wire

I’m pleased to announce another two columns that I am adding to the Wardman Wire, both podcasts.

Politics Podcast

politics-podcast-largeWolverhampton Community Radio in the West Midlands broadcast a relatively new weekly Politics Programme by Matt Revell.

In addition to covering local politics in the West Midlands, Matt covers national politics. Matt balances contributors from different viewpoints when addressing current affairs.

Matt has kindly agreed to let me use some of his “national politics” items as podcasts here. We are running this as a trial for 4-5 weeks to see how it works out.

I am aiming to put out the podcast on Sunday mornings, but I’ll do one this week to start us rolling.

At present I’m not looking at a podcast feed, but I’ll consider it if there is a demand. It would take a little bit of “Geeking” to achieve, so I want to finsih the current “rolling redesign” first.

Britblog Podcast

column-britblog-roundup-podcast-cat-imageThis is a slight repackaging of the audio spots from Radio 5 that I have had available on the blog for several months now.

For new readers, the Britblog Roundup (BBRU) is a weekly digest of all that is best in the UK Blogosphere, edited in turn by a team of 6 or 7 bloggers, of which I am one. This is done each Sunday.

Each week the Radio 5 Pods and Blogs programme, which is broadcast at 2:00am on the folowing Tuesday, carries a short (thankfully pre-recorded) interview with the Britblog Roundup Editor that week, pointing up some interesting stories.

I dig around in the Pods and Blogs podcast, extract the 5 minute spot, and post it here with BBC permission.

At present I’m not looking at a podcast feed, but I’ll consider it if there is a demand. It would take a little bit of “Geeking” to achieve.
