Pre-Budget Report coverage on 3 BBC Channels

A minor annoyance.

The BBC are running exactly the same coverage of Alistair Darling’s Pre-Budget Report statement across three channels: BBC 2, BBC Parliament and BBC News 24.

I have only one question:

Why can they not add different types of value to the different channels?

I’m open to correction if I’ve missed something - but I think it is a fair point.

You won’t be a big fan of the rumour that the one o’clock news is to be axed and replaced by a 30 minute feed from News24 then…
