Bonkers Books about Health and Safety
I’m wrapping-up this Health and Safety series, and new things keep coming along.
Matt Buck - one of the house cartoonists on the Wardman Wire - tells me that he has just illustrated a book about Health and Safety.
It is called Playing It Safe: The Crazy World of Britain’s Health and Safety Regulations (affiliate link) by Alan Pearce.
I’m not sure what the editorial line is - but if it is laughing at “elf ‘n’ safety” I can imagine someone commissioning a cartoon of a Health and Safety Officer bashing a cartoonist over the head with it while saying:
“It <bash>
is <bash>
highly <bash>
risky <bash>
to <bash>
publish <bash>
books <bash>
poking <bash>
fun <bash>
at <bash>
Health and Safety <bash> <bash> <bash>”“It is a serious subject.” <bash>
“Capiche?”
Four more articles and a conclusion to go in the series.
