Advertising on the Wardman Wire

Advertise on the Wardman WireToday I have put up our Advertising page, with details of how you may sponsor this site.

The idea is to both defray expenses, which (lets be up front here) are pretty minimal, but also to provide me with a little income for the time spent on the site (which is substantial).

Sponsorship

I’m doing a package involving direct sponsorship - initially for £20 a month for the following elements:

  • 125×125 sidebar badge.
  • A monthly “commercial break” article (identified as such) about the advertiser’s product or service.
  • Am initial article describing and reviewing the advertiser’s service.

There is a “premium” package for the position at the top-right costing £30 per month.

Both of these have a “3 months for 2″ offer, with the aim of starting things rolling.

Traffic

The site is currently drawing around 600 unique visitors a day and will generate around 57,000 page impressions in June. That last figure is from the server and does not exclude search engine spiders. By the same token it does not include people who looked at the site using, e.g., the Google cache or other off site copy.

There should be a detailed monthly statistics report this weekend.

Profile

This is my brief profile of the blog:

The Wardman Wire is a fast moving political blog, which is updated 3-5 times per day. It focuses on the following topics:

* Reporting and commentary on UK Politics.
* The relation of politics and technology.
* The use of new media in local and national politics.

We have a particular interest in encouraging the use of blogs in political communication.

Wrapping-Up

There is more detail about the editorial mix and audience on the advertising page, and you can email me via the contact page.
